Ideal for cutting precise smooth finish surfaces on the outside of spindles; Oval profile makes this skew easy to roll on the tool rest and simplifies contouring applications. Can also be used for cutting vee-grooves, forming beads, facing off the end of cylindrical workpieces, and can even be used for shaping shallow concave curves in spindles. Blade is made from M2 High Speed Steel. Total tool length is 16" with a 6" blade and 10" handle; Blade is 3/4" wide. Hardwood handle with brass ferrule.
